Elia Golfin is one of the founding members of the Aeolus Business Group.
A technology and aircraft enthusiast with experience in the wind energy industry, Elia Golfin is adept at developing policies and processes that optimize the attainment of corporate goals and enhance client experience. He brings considerable insight to his position as Director of business Development for Aeolus Energy Systems and Aeolus Business groups, having been in a variety of executive posts in the wind farming industry during his career. In addition, Elia Golfin applies his expertise in transportation to foster on-time delivery of services and operational efficiencies for Aeolus Energy.
Elia Golfin accepted the challenges afforded by his role at Aeolus during the company’s first months of planning and operation. As an original member of the team, he contributed to such key tasks as the raising of capital, creation of business strategies, identification of target customers, recruitment, and pricing of services. He participated in the development of branding initiatives, including website design, and met with potential clients to secure contracts to grow the business. Keenly aware of the need for rapid deployment of services and personnel to meet client expectations, he also guided the organization’s site-operations programs, handling the acquisition of necessary equipment and manpower.
A long-time airline pilot, Elia Golfin flew routes in the United States, Australia, and Europe. He completed a Bachelor of Aviation at the University of Western Sydney, mastering such courses as aircraft mechanics, aviation safety, aerospace dynamics, and aviation management. He also earned an Advanced Diploma of Aviation at Navair International Flying College. A native of Australia, Elia Golfin currently lives in the United States and enjoys traveling, wine tastings, and Australian-rules football.
Environmental Health & Safety Manager
David has over 18 years of experience in the Environmental, Health & Safety Field. His background includes work in the building and heavy highway construction, which includes domestic and international projects. He is an authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer in the 10-hour and 30-hour courses, a Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA) Part 46 and Part 48 instructor. He is a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) and is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP). He has a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in Safety Sciences from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Director - Blade Services
Brian Sullivent, has worked in wind for over 8 years. He joined LM Wind Power Blades in 2008 and was implemental in the startup of the Little Rock Port facility working in and learning all phases of production. During Brian’s tenure in the Little Rock Port factory he was a hands on manager in ever department in blade manufacturing including but not limited to, Molding, Repairs and Closing, Finishing, Assembly, and Quality Control. Brian then transitioned into LM Wind Power Service and Logistics as a Service Coordinator in the Abilene Texas location. In this role he managed over two million in external sales, as well as 3 million in internal warranty work for 2011. Brian was promoted to Service Supervisor and was responsible for all allocation of resources, equipment, and technicians to repair Wind Turbine generators in the United States, Canada, and South America. In the Service Supervisor role Brian over saw the execution of over 6 million in external sales and 4 million in warranty work.
Also in this role, he over saw the quality and efficiency of all repairs in the field and worked as a project manager on many large scale Leading Edge Protectant projects using multiple products. While at Frontier Pro Services, Brian was instrumental in building a proven successful team for composite repair on many different blade designs using various types of composite material. While at TGM Wind Services, Brian built a successful and well rounded team to provide customers the best and most efficient services. Brian is very pleased to have joined the Aeolus Energy Systems team and looks forward to their continue growth and success in the wind market. Before his introduction into Wind, he worked his way through the ranks starting as a Management Trainee with Tyson Foods, Promoted to Supervisor, than Shift Supervisor, then Production Coordinator and Shipping Manager in the production facility located in North Little Rock, Ar.
Jeff began his career in the U.S. Navy as an aircraft structural and hydraulics mechanic, where he received in depth training using composite material among other products. After his retirement, he moved into the wind industry, starting out as a blade tech.
In order to gain industry knowledge, he quickly moved into each avenue of training to absorb a full scale education. After only a year, Jeff moved into a quality inspector position for composite repairs. Jeff continued to further his education in the electrical field to apply new skills and further his career in the wind industry. After going through an electrical apprenticeship, he returned to with wind industry as a field manager and technical trainer.
Jeff comes to Aeolus with a strong drive to bring the right people with the right training to valuable customers and insure the job is done right, on time and within budget. He strives toward excellent customer service and maintaining quality relationships.
Aeolus is pronounced [ˈe.olos] and was founded in 2012 to provide excellent technical services to the wind industry. We have assembled a large group of experienced professionals in the wind energy sector which enables AES to be an excellent group to deliver professional service to our customers and owners expectations. AES provides a highly skilled workforce to the industry. The services currently offered are, but not limited to, Quality Inspector, Punchlist / Non Compliance Report Technician, Technical Advisors (TA), Blade Technicians, Generator Alignment crews, Commissioning Services, Project Management, Logistics Coordinators, Safety Coordinators.
AES is applying high quality standards as guidelines for its processes and operations and is ISO 9001: 2008 certified and gearing up for OHSAS 18001.
